' TPH as gasoline was reported in soil samples at concentrations ranging from non-detect (ND) to _ 1,800 parts per million(ppm);TPH as diesel was reported in soil samples at concentrations ranging from ND to 580 ppm.BTEX constituents were reported in soil samples at concentrations ranging from ND to 170 ppm.Although reported in one sample using EPA Method 8021,no MTBE or other fuel oxygenates wereew reported in any of the samples selected for analysis using EPA Method 8260. Ab flQ+'y�r _ TPH as gasoline,16TEX and MTBE were reported in each of the three grab ground water samples collected from the borings at concentrations ranging from 2.3 parts per billion(ppb)to 180 ppb.No TPH as diesel was reported in any of the grab ground water samples. The laboratory report and chains-of-custody are included as Appendix A. 3.0. SCOPE OF WORK The scope of the work initially includes the advancement of one soil boring for completion as a ground water monitoring well. Based upon results of ground water samples collected from the monitoring well,two additional pilot borings may be advanced for the installation of two additional monitoring wells. Upon installation, each well will be developed and sampled and, if necessary, placed into a quarterly ground water monitoring program. The scope of work will consist of the following tasks: • Permitting and pre-field work activities; • Drilling and soil sample collection; • Monitoring well installation and development; • Ground water sampling and analysis; and • Report preparation. 3.1. PERMITTING AND PRE-FIELD WORK ACTIVITIES Applicable site assessment permits will be obtained from the EHD. In addition, an update to the health and safety plan presently on-file will be prepared in accordance with Occupational Safety and Health Guidance Manual for Hazardous Waste Site activities(National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health Administration, U.S. Coast Guard and U.S.Environmental Protection Agency, 1985).
