DISCUSSION OF ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACTS
3 . A check of the Natural Diversity Data Base revealed that the
California Hibiscus could be found in a large area around
Stockton including this project site. Further investigation
revealed that this plant could be found along levees. This
particular subdivision does back of to Morman Slough, however
the water side of the embankment will not be distrubed. It
is on the water side of levees that the Hibiscus can be
sometimes found.
7a. This project will require expansion of both the water and
sewer systems. California water Service has indicated a
willingness to provide service. Thirty-eight sewer
connections have been secured by the developer so the
expansion of sewer service will pose no problems.
7c. Major Subdivisions have the choice to provide parks or to pay
fees. Since the developer has not shown a park in this
subdivision the Parks and Recreation Department has asked for
in-lieu of fees for park development.
*4ftW -25-
