I . INTRODUCTION <br /> Dillon and Murphy was retained by Keith Harvey to perform <br /> a soil suitability study for the Harvey property located at 8400 <br /> Handel Road, Lodi , California. Mr. Harvey is proposing to split <br /> the property into two parcels . The subject parcel number is APN <br /> _ 063-060-15 . The purpose of the study is to determine the <br /> suitability of the property for septic tank usage . The study was <br /> performed according to the requirements of Section 10100 of San <br /> Joaquin County Development Code . <br /> II . PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT <br /> The property is currently zoned AG-40 . The Harvey <br /> Property consists of a rectangular shaped 73 . 8 acre parcel ( see <br /> attached map) . It is proposed to divide 3 . 63 acres (Parcel 2 ) <br /> from the northeasterly portion of Parcel 1 . There is an office <br /> building and agricultural storage building with an existing <br /> operational septic system on Parcel 1 . The proposed split is <br /> being done as a minor subdivision to create an additional <br /> homesite . There are no other proposed changes in land use at <br /> this time . <br /> III . PRESENT AND PAST USE OF THE SITE <br /> The entire property is currently orchard and, according to <br /> the present owner, has always been used for agriculture. As <br /> mentioned above, there is an existing office building and storage <br /> building associated with this agricultural enterprise. <br /> IV. EXISTING AND PROPOSED SEPTIC TANK USAGE <br /> As mentioned previously there is an existing structure on <br /> Parcel 1 serviced by an existing septic system. There are no <br /> existing structures on Parcel 2 . Any future homes will be <br /> serviced by separate septic systems , These systems generally <br /> consist of a septic tank and leach lines . Informal conversations <br /> with nearby neighbors indicated no unusual failures of the <br /> conventional septic system. <br /> V. GROUND WATER DEPTH AND TESTING <br /> According to the map of "Lines of Equal Depth to Water in <br /> Wells" published fall 1990 by the San Joaquin County Flood <br /> Control and Water Conservation District, the depth to groundwater <br /> at this location is approximately 90 feet . <br /> There is currently one well on the subject property. And <br /> the results of the Dibromochloropropane (DBCP) and nitrates are <br /> 1 <br />
