%%. ... . <br /> APN 063-080-32 Ronnie Ayers <br /> 9040 East Handel Road <br /> Septic System is 15 years old and <br /> no problems <br /> Ground water at 130± feet <br /> APN 063-080-35 Richard Mettler <br /> 9018 East Handel Road <br /> Septic System is 38± years old and <br /> no problems <br /> Ground water is at 80± feet <br /> GROUND WATER <br /> From the San Joaquin County Flood Control and Water <br /> Conservation Study , we find that the ground water depth <br /> is 100 feet (Exhibit 2) and that the water gradient is <br /> approximately 20 feet/mile, falling in a northerly <br /> direction . ( Exhibit 3) <br /> The owners contacted F.G.L . Laboratory to take and test <br /> their water . The results are attached as Exhibit 4 . <br /> SOILS AND PERCOLATION TESTS <br /> Per the "Soils of San Joaquin County" as published by <br /> the University of California , the soil is Hanford Sandy <br /> Loam. <br /> Under permit from the San Joaquin County Health <br /> Department , percolation tests were run February 12, <br /> 1992 . The tests passed . (See Exhibit 5) <br /> Test 1 in the future home site percolated at <br /> approximately 16 minutes/inch. This is compatible with <br /> the septic system, history and soil type. <br /> Test 2 was run in Parcel 2, North of Parcel 1 , and <br /> percolated at 34 minutes/inch. <br /> CONCLUSION <br /> Based upon the percolation test results , interviews and <br /> soil type, it is my opinion that the subject property <br /> is suitable for septic tank and leach field , and that <br /> the use of the septic system should not degrade the <br /> existing groundwater at the density proposed . I also <br /> recommend that 10,000 S.F . be retained for leach field <br /> for Parcels 1 and 2. <br />
