ER- 90-10 FOR THE SAFEWAY REGIONAL DISTRIBUTION CENTER (SCH NO. 90020696) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Attached for your review and comment is the Draft Supplemental Environmental Impact Report (SEIR) prepared for the proposed Safeway regional distribution facility, a 1.8 million square foot warehouse project located in the West Tracy area. written comments on the Draft SEIR will be accepted by the Community Development Department until Friday, November 9, 1990. This is a Supplemental Environmental Impact Report which supplements and further refines the analysis included in the previous EIR for the Gateway Business Park General Plan Amendment and Zone Reclassification (SCH 89020170) , which was distributed and reviewed by public agencies during May, 1990. The major underlying project for the Gateway General Plan Amendment is the Safeway project. Only new information on the specifics of the Safeway project is analyzed in this second EIR. Some sections of the original analysis included in the General Plan Amendment EIR have been completely revised based upon new or updated information (such as the traffic analysis) , while some sections have not been supplemented (such as the cumulative impacts analysis) . The Supplemental EIR should be reviewed in conjunction with the previously certified General Plan Amendment EIR. The 30-day review period for the Draft SEIR ends on November 9, 1990, at 5:00 p.m. Written comments on the Draft SEIR should be sent to Eric Parfrev, Senior Planner, San Joaquin County Community Development Department, 1810 E. Hazelton Avenue, Stockton, CA 95205. Additional copies of the Draft SEIR, and previous Draft Environmental Impact Report, are available for review or purchase at the Community Development Department's front counter (1810 E. Hazelton Ave. ) and at the Stockton-San Joaquin County Central Library reference section (605 N. E1 Dorado) .
