F ti
(§ 6.2, 6.3 and 6.5) On November 28, 2006, 0900 hrs, one shallow perc test boring of 38 inches
and one deep perc test boring of 276 inches (23 ft)were drilled for Parcel 1, and one shallow perc
test boring of 42 inches and one deep perc test boring of 240 inches (20 ft) were drilled for Parcel 2
with a truck-mounted Mobile Drill B-24 drill rig.
The sidewalls of the shallow borings were scored with a pry-bar and the loose material removed.
The sidewalls of the two deeper borings could not be scored due to their depths. Two inches of fine
pea gravel was placed at the bottom and three-inch perforated PVC pipe was inserted in each of the
four test borings. All borings were pre-saturated on November 29, 2006, 0930 hrs with 12 inches of
water.
(§ 6.4) On November 30, 2006, 1000 hrs,percolation testing commenced for the foperc tests.
There was no standing water after the 24-hour soak period, as illustrated in(Table 1 b ow. /
Consequently, EHD Perc Test Procedure#2 was conducted for the four test Borings. The last half
hour of the tests was witnessed by Mr. Ted Tasiopoulos, R.E.H.S. of EHD. The maximum
acceptable perc rate is 60 min/in for shallow perc tests and 30 min/in for the deep 25 ft test boring.
(§ 5.4 and 6.8) The following Table summarizes the percolation test results and related data:
TABLE 1
PERCOLATION TEST RESULTS AND RELATED DATA
PARCEL PROPOSED PERC TEST DEPTH POST SOAK PERC TEST
POTENTIAL SEPTIC ACREAGE PERIOD RESULTS
SYSTEM STRUCTURE STATUS
EXISTING
STRUCTURE
Parcel 1 2.38 t Acres 38 INCHES No Standing 31.3 ntin/in
Leachlines and Water in ;
Seepage Pits for any Hole
Future Installation.
Existing House with 276 INCHES No Standing 5.0 'n/in
Leachlines and (23 FT) Water in
Seepage Pits(?)
