r75O% standby
red septic systems will not have to be installed for this proposed subdivision unl7and
, or if there are area constraints for a new structure. Any new system must have
replacement area incorporated into the design of the septic system.
All related septic system structures and any new domestic well must comply with the "d
setback" requirements from property borders, wells, roads, irrigation fields and canals.
It is my understanding that since the property is zoned R-R, any future septic system will not have to
be installed with a double leachfield system under Section 10.1 of the Sewage Standards. If the
zoning were R-RI - Estate type zoning, then a double leachfield system would have to be installed.
In addition, soil moisture content of the subsurface soils will play an important role in septic system
operational capacity. For example, if heavy rains are experienced in any given winter, subsurface
soil moisture content will increase, thus decreasing permeability. In this event, deep septic system-
structures will manage most of the effluent.
In unsewered areas and/or areas that have been, or currently are near agricultural production, it is
highly recommended that bottled water be used for drinking and cooking purposes, particularly since
the well water was almost two and one-half times over the MCL.
LIMITATIONS
The findings, testing, opinions and conclusions of this report are based upon information from
standard engineering and analytical test procedures, contemporary scientific literature and agency
consultations. Information in this report is deemed reliable by the sources from where it was
obtained. Results of the percolation testing should be assumed to only represent the subsurface
conditions encountered in the very specific location of testing as denoted on the Tentative Map, and
not of the entire proposed Parcels.
This report is based upon current scientific knowledge to assess factors which are extremely variable
and complex within the environment. San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department
Sewage Standards have been employed for the purpose of preparing this study. Therefore, no
guarantee or warranty is expressed or implied concerning any aspect of this investigation, the
prevention of environmental impact, or related issues.
The opportunity to provide this service for you is appreciated.
