A soil suitability study shall be submitted to the Environmental Health Department indicating <br /> that the area is suitable for septic system usage. The study must be approved by the <br /> Environmental Health Department prior to issuance of building permit(s). (San Joaquin County <br /> Development Title, Section 9-1105.2 (d)). A review fee of$250 must be paid at time of <br /> submittal to the Environmental Health Department. <br /> The sewage disposal system shall comply with the on site sewage standards of San Joaquin <br /> County prior to approval. A percolation test that meets absorption rates of the manual of septic <br /> tank practice or E.P.A. Design Manual for onsite wastewater treatment and disposal system is <br /> required for each parcel. A permit fee of $125 per percolation hole is required. <br /> B. The existing private water wells shall be tested for the chemical Dibromochloropropane (DBCP) <br /> and nitrates with the results submitted to the Environmental Health Department prior to <br /> issuance of building permit(s). Samples are to be taken and analyzed by a State-approved <br /> laboratory (San Joaquin County Development Title, Section 9-1115.7). <br /> C. Submit three (3) sets of detailed kennel construction plans to the Environmental Health <br /> Department for review prior to construction. The Environmental Health Department has <br /> specific requirements of kennel construction. A plan check fee of$250 is due at the time of <br /> submittal to the Environmental Health Department. <br /> 1. There must be an onsite water well that has an intact well head and a back flow device. <br /> 2. There must be an individual onsite septic system to service the kennel. <br /> 3. The walls of the kennel must be constructed of material that is smooth and cleanable. The <br /> walls must be seal and durable to allow frequent cleaning. <br /> 4. The floors of the kennel must be constructed of material that is sealed and cleanable. The <br /> walls need to be seal to the floors, and be sloped to a floor drain. <br /> 5. The cages of the kennel must be kept in good condition. <br />
