A soil suitability study shall be submitted to the Environmental Health Department indicating that the area is suitable for septic system usage. The study must be approved by the Environmental Health Department prior to issuance of building permit(s). (San Joaquin County Development Title, Section 9-1105.2 (d)). A review fee of$250 must be paid at time of submittal to the Environmental Health Department. The sewage disposal system shall comply with the on site sewage standards of San Joaquin County prior to approval. A percolation test that meets absorption rates of the manual of septic tank practice or E.P.A. Design Manual for onsite wastewater treatment and disposal system is required for each parcel. A permit fee of $125 per percolation hole is required. B. The existing private water wells shall be tested for the chemical Dibromochloropropane (DBCP) and nitrates with the results submitted to the Environmental Health Department prior to issuance of building permit(s). Samples are to be taken and analyzed by a State-approved laboratory (San Joaquin County Development Title, Section 9-1115.7). C. Submit three (3) sets of detailed kennel construction plans to the Environmental Health Department for review prior to construction. The Environmental Health Department has specific requirements of kennel construction. A plan check fee of$250 is due at the time of submittal to the Environmental Health Department. 1. There must be an onsite water well that has an intact well head and a back flow device. 2. There must be an individual onsite septic system to service the kennel. 3. The walls of the kennel must be constructed of material that is smooth and cleanable. The walls must be seal and durable to allow frequent cleaning. 4. The floors of the kennel must be constructed of material that is sealed and cleanable. The walls need to be seal to the floors, and be sloped to a floor drain. 5. The cages of the kennel must be kept in good condition.
