Richard Larrouy July 12, 1994
SA-94-29 Page 2
Specifically, the District suggests that the following Mitigation Measures be included
as part of project approval:
• All material excavated, graded or otherwise disturbed should be sufficiently
watered to prevent excessive amounts of dust. Watering should occur at least
twice daily with complete coverage, preferably in the late morning and after
work is done for the day.
0 All clearing, grading, earth moving, or excavation activities should cease when
wind speeds are equal to or greater than 20 mph.
• On-site vehicle speed should be limited to 15 mph.
Ozone Precursors-Ozone precursor emissions should be controlled by the following
methods:
• All internal combustion engine driven equipment should be properly maintained
and tuned according to manufacturers specifications.
• Idling of all internal combustion equipment shall be limited to ten minutes at any
given time.
• Use of building materials that do not require the use of paints/solvents.
The applicant should be aware that any equipment (emergency generators and pumps,
etc.) that have the potential to emit air pollutants may be subject to permitting by the
District. If there are any questions regarding operating permits the applicant should
contact the Permit Services section of this office.
Thank you for the opportunity to comment on this project.
