SOIL SUITABILITY STUDY <br /> SJC APPLICATION NUMBER PA-06-617 (SA) <br /> 9948 SOUTH HARLAN ROAD <br /> I <br /> it FRENCH CAMP, CALIFORNIA <br /> L. <br /> 1.0 INTRODUCTION AND PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT <br /> Our office was contracted by Mike Smith Engineering of Lodi to conduct a soil suitability study for <br /> the property at 9948 South Harlan Road, French Camp,California. <br /> The soil suitability study (SSS)was conducted to determine whether the soils are suitable for use <br /> with a septic system. The study was performed according to the requirements of Section <br /> 9-1105.2(d) of the San Joaquin County Development. A major element of the field work included <br /> L conducting percolation tests that meet the requited absorption rates as required by San Joaquin <br /> County,Public Health Services,Environmental Health Department (EHD). <br /> L In addition to conducting the percolation tests,a review of published soil information,geologic <br /> maps, and ground water information was performed to evaluate the suitability of soils for use with a <br /> septic system. <br /> The formatting of this report has been designed to follow, to the greatest degree possible, <br /> the EHD's Soil Suitability Study Requirements Checklist, dated July 14,2003. <br /> 1.1 Site Description <br /> The site consists of one parcel,Assessor Parcel Number (APN) 193-270-17. The parcel is 22.27 <br /> acres in size. The County application number for this project is PA-06-617 (SA). <br /> 6. The elevation of the Site,according to a United States Geological Survey topographic map,is <br /> approximately 15 to 20 feet above mean sea level. The Site is relatively flat but located in a region <br /> 1 with a slight grade down towards the southwest.The property is located approximately one half mile <br /> V north of Roth Road and lies directly east of Interstate 5.
