INTRODUCTION <br /> This Initial Study and Detailed Environmental Assessment was <br /> prepared to analyze possible environmental effects resulting from <br /> additional recycling activities planned for the North County <br /> Recycling Center and Sanitary Landfill (NCRCSL) . <br /> Organization of the Environmental Document <br /> Chapter 1 presents project descriptions for both the Full <br /> Scale Solid Waste Recycling Program and the Household Hazardous <br /> Waste (HHW) Recycling Program. Chapter 2 consists of the <br /> Environmental Checklist Form which identifies those environmental <br /> issues which require further analysis. Chapter 3 consists of a <br /> discussion of environmental issues by topic, including the <br /> environmental setting, analysis, and proposed mitigation measures. <br /> Report Preparation <br /> This environmental document was prepared by Baracco and <br /> Associates under contract to the San Joaquin County Department of <br /> Public Works.
