a_ <br /> INTRODUCTION <br /> _ The purpose of this project is to divide a 90.25 acre parcel into two parcels. One <br /> parcel will be a 2.00 acre "financing homesite" parcel and the other will be a <br /> remainder. In accordance with the San Joaquin County Development Title, this <br /> Surface and Subsurface Contamination Report (SSCR) is being submitted for <br /> application with the tentative map. This report will investigate the property for <br /> visual or historical environmental contamination based on field observation and <br /> testimony from the owner. No chemical analysis is proposed as part of this report. <br /> PROJECT DESCRIPTION <br /> The project consists of one parcel located at 20763 E. Harney Lane, Linden. The <br /> project is in a farming area and is surrounded by agricultural and rural residential <br /> land. It is zoned AG 40. The site has no homesites. It is currently a vineyard. <br /> See the Tentative Map (prepared by the owner) included in the Appendix. 9 <br /> PROJECT HISTORY l yam' <br /> The primary source of information on the historical use of the property is testimony <br /> fromy'the owner and County records. The current owner has farmed the property <br /> for many years. The property is planted in wine grapes. This property and the <br /> adjacent properties have been used in the same manner since the current owner <br /> has owned the property. <br /> A review of County records fSan Jo quip Cou�Agricultural Commissioner's <br /> Office and the San Joaquin Countyll�ContaminatedlSite List) did not yield any <br /> contamination concerns. I have included a complete accounting of chemicals from <br /> the Agricultural Commissioner's office. The property owners also stated that there <br /> have been no groundwater concerns during their ownership. <br /> There is no record of underground fuel tank storage and the property owners are <br /> not aware of any such tank. <br /> FIELD INVESTIGATION <br /> The following information was obtained during a field investigation of the site as <br /> well as interviewing the property owner. <br /> " There is not a septic system on site. There is an agricultural well with a plastic <br /> chemical tank adjacent to it. There is plans for a home to be built on the proposed <br /> 2 acre site. According to the owner, there are no buried tanks on the property. <br /> ..
