a_
INTRODUCTION
_ The purpose of this project is to divide a 90.25 acre parcel into two parcels. One
parcel will be a 2.00 acre "financing homesite" parcel and the other will be a
remainder. In accordance with the San Joaquin County Development Title, this
Surface and Subsurface Contamination Report (SSCR) is being submitted for
application with the tentative map. This report will investigate the property for
visual or historical environmental contamination based on field observation and
testimony from the owner. No chemical analysis is proposed as part of this report.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The project consists of one parcel located at 20763 E. Harney Lane, Linden. The
project is in a farming area and is surrounded by agricultural and rural residential
land. It is zoned AG 40. The site has no homesites. It is currently a vineyard.
See the Tentative Map (prepared by the owner) included in the Appendix. 9
PROJECT HISTORY l yam'
The primary source of information on the historical use of the property is testimony
fromy'the owner and County records. The current owner has farmed the property
for many years. The property is planted in wine grapes. This property and the
adjacent properties have been used in the same manner since the current owner
has owned the property.
A review of County records fSan Jo quip CouAgricultural Commissioner's
Office and the San Joaquin CountyllContaminatedlSite List) did not yield any
contamination concerns. I have included a complete accounting of chemicals from
the Agricultural Commissioner's office. The property owners also stated that there
have been no groundwater concerns during their ownership.
There is no record of underground fuel tank storage and the property owners are
not aware of any such tank.
FIELD INVESTIGATION
The following information was obtained during a field investigation of the site as
well as interviewing the property owner.
" There is not a septic system on site. There is an agricultural well with a plastic
chemical tank adjacent to it. There is plans for a home to be built on the proposed
2 acre site. According to the owner, there are no buried tanks on the property.
.. There are not visual signs of any such tanks (ground settling, irregular ground,
etc.).
1
` CADi11on&Murphy\0251\Surface&Subsurface Report
