IV EXISTING AND PROPOSED SEPTIC TANK USAGE
The Noma residence is approximately 60 to 70 year old. The residence is utilizing
an on site sewage disposal system consisting of a 1600 gallon septic tank, two, 80 foot leach
lines, and a single 12 foot deep dry well. The current system was installed 7 years ago and
replaced the original system which had silted up. The Nomas have experienced no problems
with their current septic system since installation.
It is proposed to utilize an on site sewage disposal system for the new residence on
the proposed Parcel 1. The neighbors in the immediate area also use on site sewage
disposal systems. These systems generally consist of a septic tank, leach lines, and dry wells.
Several of the neighbors were interviewed to determine the history of septic systems in the
general area and to help in assessing the feasibility of the proposed septic system. This
information is presented next:
OWNER: Goehrings, Otto & Dene
ADDRESS: 16353 E Harney Ln
LOCATION: 100 yds SW of property.
AGE OF HOUSE: 87 years
SEPTIC SYSTEM: Yes, current system was originally installed in 1950, this system
consisted of a small septic tank, and a 125 foot leach line. The septic
tank proved to be too small for family use and the failing system was
modified in 1985 with a 1500 gallon tank, an additional 100 foot leech
line, and an 18 foot deep dry well. Have had no problems with the
system since modifications.
OWNER: Goehrings, Elward & Betty
ADDRESS: 13721 N Curry Rd
LOCATION: 100 yds NW of property.
AGE OF HOUSE: 31 years
SEPTIC SYSTEM: Yes. System has a 1200 gallon septic tank. The original leech line was
extended 75 feet in 1969. A second leech line (100 feet) was added in
1975 with an 18 foot dry well. All additions were made to
accommodate projected increased usage, therefore no problems have
ever arisen with system in its 31 year history.
OWNER: Heiser
ADDRESS: 6604 E Harney Ln
LOCATION: 150 yds SE.
AGE OF HOUSE: 25 years
SEPTIC SYSTEM: Yes, consists of three septic tanks in series (approximate total capacity:
1500 gallons) with a 4 foot by 25 foot deep dry well. System was
installed at the time of construction of the house (25 years old). Have
had no problems with system since installation.
2
(,0
DS
