The shallow percolation test results reveal that <br /> very little, if any effluent percolation will occur from the leachline trenches. <br /> Although the percolation test boring was terminated at 22 feet where the highest elevation <br /> permeable soil was encountered, seepage pits should be installed to the typical maximum depth of <br /> 25 feet. <br /> Encountered hardpan at 8 feet in depth showed remarkable permeability, contrary to conventional <br /> thinking that all hardpan is relatively impermeable. <br /> The domestic well log illustrates a soil morphology of intervening sand and clay strata. A <br /> significant clay stratum exists from 64 feet to 130 feet. This stratum should be beneficial in <br /> attenuating the downward migration of nitrate that may form from the septic effluent. <br /> I appreciate the opportunity to provide this ge for you.
