June 8,2001
Job Number:LGOI-141
Page 6
r
A one-hour percolation test was conducted on May 18, 2001 in accordance with the
requirements of San Joaquin County Environmental Health Division. The entire test was
observed by Steven Shih, R.E.H.S. of that office. The result of the percolation test indicates a
satisfactory percolation rate of 4.0 min/in was achieved. Mr. Shih signed and noted the
percolation rate on the Liquid Waste Permit(percolation test permit) for the property(see
permit copy in appendix).
VII. CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
In conclusion, a satisfactory percolation rate was achieved for the parcel. The percolation
rate was measured at 4.0 min/inch at a depth of 2.5 feet. No ground water was encountered in
the borings and the depth to ground water according to a recent San Joaquin County Flood
Control and Water Conservation District ground-water map is about 19 to 24 feet below the
ground surface at the site. The gradient for Fall 1998 and Spring 1999 ranged between 5 to 6.5
feet per mile northward.
Based on the results of this study, our office has found the soils to be suitable for a septic
system and leach lines and seepage pits for the proposed parcel. Please note that Silva Trucking
does not have any plans to develop the property further or install a water well or septic system on
the property. If a septic system were to be installed,we believe it would not negatively impact
the ground water quality of the area. The design and installation of any septic system should
follow the requirements established by the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Division.
VIII. LIMITATIONS
The conclusions of this report are based on the information provided regarding the
existing and proposed development, the use of the subject property, and the site conditions as
they existed at the time we excavated our test hole and performed the percolation test. It was
assumed that the test hole and percolation test results are representative of the subsurface
conditions in the general area.
f ISO
i
