Margaret Lagorio [EH]
From: Jeanne Homsey [Jeanne.homsey@atcassociates.com]
Sent: Friday, October 31, 2008 12:24 PM
To: Margaret Lagorio [EH]
Subject: Three Palms Grocery FRP Oct 1, 2008 Addendum Email
Per our conversation on October 30, 2008, ATC has prepared this email to serve as an addendum to the Final
Remediation Plan (FRP) prepared for the Three Palms Grocery site located at 6732 E. Hwy 88, Stockton, CA.
ATC proposes to install and operate a vaopr extraction system utilizing four existing vapor wells and one new
vapor well. ATC proposes to utilize all the vapor wells to ensure sufficient radius of influence coverage of the
area of soil impact and reduce the overall length of operation. Pilot test conducted on VW2 and VW3
showed TPHg concentrations in vapor ranging from 310 to 1,000 ppmv. Vapor samples were not collected from
VEW1. Vapor well VW5 is proposed east of boring MW5 which had TPHg concentrations of 1,900 ppm in soil.
While installing the proposed well, ATC will monitor soil samples with a PID to ensure optimal interval of the well
screen. After system startup, ATC will monitor vapors from each vapor well with a PID to optimize system
operation. A sample port dedicated to each vapor well will be located at the manifold within the treatment
compound. The sample ports were inadvertently omitted from Figure 10 of the FRP.
Let me know if you have additional questions. Thank you.
Jeanne Hornsey, PE I Branch Manager I ATC Associates Inc.
