CvvATC
A S S O C I A T E S I N C
Sample Analysis
Selected soil samples will be immediately placed on ice and delivered under chain-of-custody
documentation to a State-certified laboratory for analysis. Samples will be analyzed for total
petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHg, EPA Method 8015), and for volatile organic
compounds (VOCs, EPA Method 8260B) including oxygenate fuel additives.
Groundwater Sampling
Groundwater samples collected from all borings will be submitted using chain-of-custody record
to a State-certified laboratory. Groundwater samples will be analyzed for total petroleum
hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHg, EPA Method 8015), and for volatile organic compounds
(VOCs, EPA Method 8260B) including oxygenate fuel additives.
Report Preparation
Upon completion of the subsurface investigation activities, a summary report will be prepared for
submittal to the EHD. The report will include a description of all field activities, laboratory
analytical results, and boring logs. Additionally, the report will include revised lateral and
vertical extents of hydrocarbons in soil and groundwater and revised mass of contamination
calculations. Based on these results and current quarterly monitoring results for the existing
wells, ATC will evaluate potential remedial alternatives and associated pilot testing, and the need
for additional monitoring wells at the site.
All work described in this workplan will be performed under the direction of a California
Registered Professional Engineer. All work will be performed in accordance with ATC's Site
Safety Plan (SSP) and Quality Control/Quality Assurance Plan on file with the EHD.
Proiected Schedule
Once approval of this workplan has been received, ATC will schedule drilling activities. ATC
will notify the EHD at least 48 hours prior to beginning any field activities. The summary report
will be submitted to EHD approximately four to five weeks after the completion of field
activities.
wAI4885\repons\wkpin.doc 5
