San Joaquin County Public Health Services Environmental Health Divisions (PHS/EHD) requests <br /> you do not wait for analyses of samples before convening temporary wells to permanent monitoring <br /> wells. Installation of temporary monitoring wells Isnot perinitted in San Joaquin County. <br /> PHS/EHD directs the 3 monitoring wells be installed instead. <br /> 2. Reduce the length of the screen of the proposed monitoring wells from 30 feet to 10 feet. <br /> 3. Modify the location of the proposed wells closer. At least one monitoring wells should be installed at <br /> the source of the plume. PHS/EHD recommends location of the wells begins on site before moving <br /> out(stepping out) to investigate the lateral extent if required. <br /> 4. Analyze all selected soil and groundwater samples (including the supply well) for gasoline,BTEX, all <br /> oxygenates (MTBE,TBA,DIPE,TAME,ETBE),methanol,ethanol, 1-2 DCA(1,2 dicholoroethane), <br /> and EDB (1-2 dibromoethane). Oxygenates must be analyzed using EPA Method 8260. Note some <br /> laboratories will provide the whole suite of analytes including BTEX,oxygenates,EDB,and 1,2 DCA <br /> using Method 8260b for a more cost effective approach. <br /> 5. Obtain well permit and encroachment permits (if required) and submit the appropriate fee before <br /> work commencement. Permit must be signed by and is issued solely to the G 57 licensed contractor. <br /> 6. Work must commence no later than December 1,2000. <br /> ADEQUATE AND NECESSARY ELEMENTS OF THE WORKPLAN(H&S 25299.37,subd.(c)(3).): <br /> I.
