GROUNDWATER MOMTORING EVENT FOR THE FORMER UNDERGROUND
STORAGE TANKS (USTS)AT THE FORMER Tom, AND COUNTRY
CHEVRON SITE LOCATED @ 3336 HmM a8, Lackeford, CaRik G nk
' Dear Mr. Hartzell and Mr Wong.
g
Enclosed are the details of groundwater monitoring of three (3) groundwater
monitoring wells Groundwater sampling and analyses of hydrocarbons
' confirmed that no gasoline constituents, except for 1.0 ppb of 1,2 DCA in MWA,
was identified in the perched groundwater zone. The last groundwater monitoring
event identified 5.0 ppb toluene in MW-2. In each case, the concentrations
identified are extremely low, are well below their respective MCLs, and are in no
' way representative of any concentration gradient trends indicative of a residual
secondary source in proximity to the perched aquifer zone.
' It is recommended that the site be closed based upon the fact that a significant
hydrostratigraphic barrier exists between the contamination identified in
intermediate depth soils and the absence of significant contamination in the
' deeper perched groundwater zone.
If you have any questions, please
GE
Sincerely, O`Q oOQ
' CER'nFlED
WDiOGE0lOWST
Franklin J.
