Conclusions
Results of the recent quarterly monitoring event indicate that the extent of hydrocarbon-impacted
groundwater at the site has been relatively well defined to the west, however, it remains undefined to the
north, south and east of the former tank bed Hydrocarbon concentrations have decreased in the
perimeter wells (MW-2, MW-3, and MW-4), and increased in MW-1, however, not enough data has been
collected to evaluate the significance of these variations Future data will be used to evaluate if
significant trends in hydrocarbon concentrations in groundwater exist Groundwater levels have
decreased somewhat across the site (most likely a result of seasonal variation) since the previous
sampling event, although flow direction has remained consistent
Future Site Activities
SECOR is preparing a cost estimate for the installation of additional monitoring wells to define the extent
of soil and groundwater impacts associated with the subject site Data collected to date indicate that it
will be necessary to install several wells offsite Upon completion, a workplan for the additional
investigation will be forwarded for your review Field activities will be scheduled once the workplan has
been approved and site access has been granted for work to be performed on adjacent properties
Should you have any questions regarding these matters, please do not hesitate to contact me at (206)
286-4495 If I am unavailable, Kevin Murphy may be able to answer any questions that you may have
Sincerely,
Time Oil Co
Anastasia E Duarte
Environmental Toxicologist
cc Ms Elizabeth Thayer
California Regional Water Quality Control Board
lu19514049115 doc
