1 <br /> SITE ASSESSMENT REPORT <br /> UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK SITE <br /> TIME OIL CO <br /> JACKPOT FOOD MART <br /> LOCKEFORD, CALIFORNIA <br /> 1 0 INTRODUCTION <br /> This report has been prepared for Time Oil Co (Time Oil) by Canonie Environmental <br /> Services Corp (Canonie) to summarize the results of the recent site assessment <br /> I investigation performed at the Jackpot Food Mart underground storage tank (UST) srte <br /> (Site), located at 14000 Highway 88 in Lockeford, California (Figure 1 ) The site <br /> activities were performed as described in the Canonie July 1992 Site Assessment <br /> Work Plan (Work Plan), which was submitted to the San Joaquin County Public Health <br /> Services, Environmental Health Division (County EHD) and California Regional Water <br /> Quality Control Board-Central Valley Region (RWQCB) by Time Oil The Work Plan <br /> text is provided in Appendix A This report outlines the site assessment activities <br /> performed, presents the field data collected, and provides the laboratory analytical <br /> results from the soil and soil vapor sampling <br /> ' In September 1991 , three USTs were removed from the site as part of a facility <br /> upgrade Laboratory analyses of samples collected during the UST removal activities <br /> (see Work Plan) indicated elevated concentrations of total petroleum hydrocarbons <br /> quantified as gasoline (TPH-G), benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylenes (BTEX), <br /> and ethylene dibromide (EDB) in the Site soils Based on these results, a site <br /> assessment was performed which included performing a soil gas survey of the site, <br /> ' drilling 10 soil bonngs, converting six of the borings into soil vapor extraction/inlet <br /> wells, and performing soil vapor extraction pilot testing The soil gas survey was <br /> performed to assist in determining the extent of soils impacted by petroleum <br /> hydrocarbon-based volatile organic compounds (VOCs) prior to the placement of soil <br /> borings and extraction wells The results of the soil vapor survey and the proposed <br /> soil boring and well locations were presented in Canonie's September 1992 Soil Vapor <br /> Survey Letter Report (Soil Vapor Survey Report), which is contained in Appendix B <br /> W 191 634IREPORTS%StTE ASSSLOCKEFOROSLOCKEFORO RPT [April 26 19931 <br /> rioriieE iw Ir c)rir7 lental <br />
