6.0 CURRENT SITE STATUS
Currently, the monitoring well network at the site consists of 10 wells (MW-1 through MW-10),
which are sampled on a quarterly basis Each well is sampled for the presence of TPHg by
EPA Method 8015M, and for BTEX and fuel oxygenates (MtBE, TAME, DIPE, EtBE, and TBA)
by EPA Method 8260B Groundwater monitoring and sampling activities have been performed
at the site since January 1995
As detailed in Section 3 2, an SVEIAS system had continuously operated at the site from
December 1999 through September 2003, at which time the remediation system was shut down
due to low soil vapor influent concentrations The SVEIAS system was restarted on June 14,
' 2004, and operated intermittently through November 2004 With the approval of SJCEHD, the
SVEIAS system was shut down on November 19, 2004 Operation of the SVEIAS system from
December 1999 through November 2004 has resulted in the estimated removal and treatment
' of approximately 38,894 2 pounds of TPHg and 233 2 pounds of benzene from beneath the site
(Table 6)
i Removal of LPH from well MW-1 has not been performed since July 2002 due to the minimal
quantity of LPH observed in the well LPH was last present in well MW-1 during the October
2003 (0 01 feet LPH), January 2004 (0 02 feet LPH), and April 2004 (<0 01 feet LPH) quarterly
monitoring events (Table 7)
1
i
i
Time Oil Asmt&SCM Bloc 10 March 17,2005
770T 41658 00 0015
