The 350-gallon tank was discovered
and removed in November, 1990. The approximate location of the former tank and
proposed boring location are shown on the attached Generalized Site Plan (Figure
2)
BACKGROUND
Four underground storage tanks were removed from the site in 1987 or 1988.
Soil samples collected from beneath the tanks indicated that the soil did not contain
. ,Petroleum hydrocarbons. San Joaquin Local Health Department (SJLHD) closed
the site--file-at that time.
In November, 1990,an additional 350-gallon leaded gasoline storage tank was
discovered during excavation in a city right-of-way on the site. The tank was
removed by Western Meter Service, Inc. of Lodi, California on November 6, 1990. A
soil sample was collected beneath the excavation at a depth of approximately 7 ft.
Laboratory analysis of the soil sample indicated that 0.009.4 ppm total xylene isomers
and 26 ppm total lead was detected in theYsample.
