The 350-gaBon tan,k was discovered <br /> and removed in November,1990. The approximate'locatiou of the`former tank and <br /> proposed boring location are shown on the attached Generalized Site plan Figure i <br /> 2). <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> Four underground storage tanks were removed from the site in 1987 or 1988. <br /> Soil samples collected from beneath the tanks-indicated that the soil did not contain <br /> petroleum hydrocarbons. San Joaquin Local Health Department(S;1LHD)closed <br /> the site file at that time. <br /> In November, 1990,an additional 350-gallon leaded gasoline storage tank vias <br /> discovered during excavation in.a city right-of-way on the site_ T'heunk was <br /> removed by Western Meter Service,Inc.,of Lodi.California on November 6, 1990. A <br /> soil sample was collected beneath the excavation at a depth of approjinately 7 ft. <br /> Laboratory analysis of the soil sample indicated that 0.0094 ppm total xylene.isomers <br /> and 26 ppm total lead was detected in the sample.
