(Stratus) recently completed a baseline <br /> subsurface environmental investigation at USA Station No. 3756 (the site), located at <br /> 13975 East Highway 88, Lockeford, California (Figure 1). This report has been prepared <br /> to document the work activities completed on your behalf, and to present the findings of <br /> the work activities completed. <br /> SITE INVESTIGATION ACTIVITIES <br /> The objectives of the work activities were to: <br /> • Investigate the presence of petroleum hydrocarbon impact to soil beneath the <br /> subject property. <br /> • Assess the shallow subsurface geology beneath the site. <br /> To accomplish these objectives, Stratus implemented the following work activities: <br /> • Advanced four (4) exploratory soil borings (B-1 through B-4) to a depth of <br /> approximately 50 feet below ground surface (bgs) using the hollow stem auger <br /> drilling method. <br /> • Collected soil samples from each boring for lithologic description and possible <br /> chemical analysis. <br /> Prior to implementation of field activities, a drilling permit was obtained from San <br /> Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (SJCEHD). Underground Service <br /> Alert, SJCEHD, and USA Gasoline Corporation (USA) were notified 48 hours prior to <br /> K:\USA Gasoline\3756\Reports\USA 3756-baseline assessment report.doc <br />
