The assessment will include penetration borings and possibly groundwater monitoring <br /> wells to detect petroleum hydrocarbons in soil or groundwater near the fuel tanks and dispensers. <br /> Site Description <br /> The site is located on the corner of Cherry Street and Main Street west of the intersection(Figure in <br /> Enclosure A). The service station is currently in operation and is a retail gasoline station Depth to <br /> groundwater measured at an adjacent site ranges from approximately 70 to 75 feet below surface grade <br /> (bsg). Groundwater flow direction is generally towards the southwest. <br /> Proposed Scope of Work <br /> The scope of work being proposed is to evaluate the extent of residual petroleum hydrocarbons, if any, in <br /> the soil and groundwater in the vicinity of the former USTs and former fuel dispensers.
