Michael Infuma <br /> October 20,2003 <br /> Well Sampling and Water Level Measurement. A groundwater sample will be collected from the <br /> newly installed monitoring wells following completion of well development. Prior to purging and <br /> sampling, the depth to the water table will be measured to within 0.01-foot relative to a reference <br /> point on each monitoring well. The wells will be purged and sampled in accordance with the field <br /> methods and procedures described in Enclosure B. The groundwater samples will be submitted to <br /> Kiff for analysis of BTEX,TPHg,and MTBE using EPA Method 8260. <br /> Surveying of Wells. The elevation of a reference point on the monitoring well and adjacent ground <br /> surface will be surveyed at each newly installed well by an appropriately-licensed land surveyor. To <br /> comply with State regulation AB2886, Delta will request the licensed surveyor to reference the <br /> locations of the newly installed wells and soil borings to the California State Coordinate System <br /> using Global Positioning Satellite (GPS) surveying. The top of casing (TOC) elevations of the <br /> monitoring wells and ground surface elevations will be surveyed relative to MSL within 0.01-foot. <br /> Schedule <br /> Delta has scheduled a drilling subcontractor for the week of October 27, 2003. Delta requests <br /> expedited approval of this work plan by the SJEHD and have submitted a drilling permit application <br /> and fee to facilitate the approval process. A report summarizing the results of the investigation will <br /> be submitted to the regulatory agencies 60 days following the completion of the proposed scope of <br /> work.
