Mr.Harlin Knoll September 27,2006 <br /> Baseline Subsurface Evaluation <br /> USA Station No.3756,Lockeford, CA <br /> Page 3 <br /> Task 4: Laboratory Analysis <br /> Soil and groundwater samples will be forwarded to Alpha Analytical, Inc., a California <br /> state-certified laboratory (ELAP #2019), for chemical analysis under strict chain-of- <br /> custody procedures. The samples will be analyzed for gasoline range organics (GRO) <br /> using United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) Method SW8015B/DHS <br /> LUFT Manual, and for benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and total xylenes (BTEX), methyl <br /> tertiary butyl ether (MTBE), ethyl tertiary butyl ether (ETBE), di-isopropyl ether (DIPE), <br /> tertiary amyl methyl ether (TAME), tertiary butyl alcohol (TBA), methanol, and ethanol <br /> using USEPA Method SW8260B. A composite soil sample will also be collected and <br /> analyzed for GRO using USEPA Method SW8015B/DHS LUFT Manual, for BTEX <br /> using USEPA Method SW826013, and for total lead using USEPA Method SW6020. <br /> Task 5: Data Evaluation and Report Preparation <br /> After completing the soil borings and receipt of all analytical laboratory results, Stratus <br /> will prepare and submit a report summarizing the findings to SJCEHD and the California <br /> Regional Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB). The report will summarize the work <br /> conducted and present the findings of the assessment. <br /> SCHEDULE <br /> Stratus has tentatively scheduled this work to be completed during the week of October <br /> 16, 2006. The drilling activities should require approximately 2 to 3 days to complete. <br /> Approximately 3 weeks will be necessary to allow for removal of waste generated during <br /> field work.
