INTRODUCTION <br /> In accordance with a request from Mr Robert Phillips of Lockeford Beacon, Advanced <br /> GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) has prepared this Quarterly Report summarizing field activities <br /> performed during the third quarter of 1995 at 13975 East Highway 88 in Lockeford, California <br /> (Figure 1 -Location Map) <br /> Quarterly ground water monitoring was performed on 10 August 1995 in accordance with Central <br /> Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) and San Joaquin County Pubic Health <br /> Services--Environmental Health Division(PHS-EHD)guidelines for the investigation of underground <br /> storage tank (UST) sites <br /> 2.0. BACKGROUND <br /> 21 SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> The site is located in Lockeford, California, a small rural community in northern San Joaquin County <br /> at the northwest corner of the intersection of State Highway 88 and Cherry Street (Figure 1) The <br /> site currently operates as Lockeford Beacon, a gasoline station The property is`occupied by a single <br />' building and two filling islands Four USTs are presently located on the northern portion of the <br /> property (Figure 2 -Site Plat?) <br /> According to an assessment report by Applied GeoSystems (AGS) of Sacramento, two dry wells <br /> (French drains) were located on the property These wells provided drainage for run-off and wash- <br /> down from the product dispenser area It was reported by AGS that the dry wells were destroyed in <br /> July 1987 <br /> 2 2 SOIL BORING AND MONITORING WELL INSTALLATION <br /> Four ground water monitoring wells(MW-1 through MW-4) were installed by AGS in June of 1987 <br /> to investigate soil and ground water integrity Total volatile hydrocarbons (TVH) were detected in <br /> soil samples from MW-2 at concentrations of up to 50 51 parts per million Less than 1 ppm TVH <br /> were detected in soil samples from MW-1 and MW-3 <br />
