The
objective is to determine the extent of soil and groundwater
contamination at the site.
Four monitoring wells are currently on-site. However, during the
most recent sampling event, one of the monitoring wells (MW-4) was
dry. In a letter from the San Joaquin County Public Health Services
- Environmental Health Division (PHS/EHD) dated September 24 , 1993 ,
"the full extent of soil and groundwater contamination must be
identified and corrective action performed. "
To further delineate the soil and groundwater contamination at the
site, GeoAudit proposes to install two (2) additional monitoring
wells and drill two (2) soil borings.
The following items are solely included in this proposal:
■ Submittal of a workplan, site safety and health plan and a
drilling permit to the San Joaquin County Public Health
Services - Environmental Health Division (PHS/EHD) .
a Drilling of a total of four (4) soil borings. Two (2) borings
will be drilled to depths of 65 feet and two (2) borings will
be drilled to depths of approxirately 85 feet.
■ Collection and logging of soil samples at 5 foot intervals.
a Screening of auger returns and soil samples using a photo-
ionization detector.
■ Laboratory analysis of selected soil samples. Approximately 14
soil samples will be analyzed by a state-certified laboratory
I
Full Spectrum Environmental Seances • Wydrogeology
