(AGE) has prepared this <br /> work plan for the abandonment of six ground water monitoring wells, one vadose well and vapor <br /> piping at 13975 East Highway 88 in Lockeford, California(Figure l - Location Map). <br /> A well destruction permit will be obtained upon approval of this work plan. <br /> INTRODUCTION/BACKGROUND <br /> Six 2-inch diameter monitoring wells and one 2-inch diameter vadose-zone well were installed as <br /> part of a subsurface investigation of the former underground storage tank(UST)and dispenser areas <br /> at the site. The location of the site i5 illustrated in Figure 1 - Loc(,0on h�jn- Monitoring w Plls v.'ere <br /> installed to total depths ranging from 78 to 85 feet below surface grade (bsg). The vadose-zone well <br /> was installed to a depth of 50 feet bsg. In accordance with the San Joaquin County Public Health <br /> Service - Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD) requirements, all wells must be properly <br /> abandoned to obtain final site closure. The well locations are illustrated on Figure 2 - Site Plan. <br /> Four-inch diameter piping was installed beneath the current UST and extended to the surface near <br /> the nor-them corner of the building.
