The facility will be fully operational Mondays through Sundays. Table 6
shows the estimated daily tonnage of each waste category.
Table 6 - Typical Daily Throughput
Waste Category Proposed Typical Input
-Municipal Solid Waste with Food Wastes 1,000 tons per da
Commingled Rec clables 480 tons per da
Green Material and co-collected 200 tons per day
residential green waste and food waste
CDI Waste and Wood Waste 820 tons per da
Total 2,500 tons per day
The permitted maximum tonnage for the facility is 2,500 tons per day. The facility's
operations will have a design capacity of 2,500 tons per day — which may be expanded
through use of improved technology for potential future expansions — but at this time the
permitted peak capacity will remain 2,500 TPD.
Recycling Rate
Tracy MRF & TS plans to recycle approximately 57% of all waste materials that cross
the scales and will record and report the AB 939 diversion tonnage numbers to the
appropriate jurisdictions.
The anticipated recycling rate is provided in Table 7:
14
170.18.03 CUP Project Description 050710
