MacArthur Drive, Tracy, California 95377
( Land and Wafer Use
A discussion of local groundwater and land uses is presented in this section.
3.5.1 Well Surve
A water well survey was completed for the Tracy Materials Recovery and Transfer Facility
(San Joaquin County, 9993). Confidential Water Well Drillers Reports were reviewed at
the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Division, Office of Public Health Services,
Stockton, and at the California Department of Water Resources, Central District,
Sacramento.
All available Water Well Drillers Reports were reviewed for the area within a one-mile
radius of the project site. A total of 55 Water Well Drillers Reports were reviewed for the
area within a one-mile radius of the site, and approximately 195 Water Well Drillers
Reports were reviewed within a two-mile radius of the site. Data listed for each well
numbered include well type, date drilled, depth, perforated interval, confined or unconfined
aquifer, well log data on source aquifer and confining clay layers, water level monitoring
data, representative water quality data, and any pump test results.
Current Land Use
The two predominant land uses in the project area are agriculture and gravel mining.
Specifically, to the north, east and south of the site are fields of row crops and orchards.
To the west are the continuing operations of the LoneStar Industries gravel mining
operations.
