Project Description —Construction &Demolition/Inert Debris Facility Report <br /> Tracy Materia/Recovery Facility and Transfer Station <br /> 30703 S. MarAriiiur Drive, Tracy, California 95377 <br /> The facility maintains an .Injury and Illness Prevention Plan which <br /> is be kept m <br /> the administrative office and will be available for review by local and state <br /> inspectors during normal business hours, Monday— Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. <br /> I� <br /> Protection of Users [14 CCR 17408.81 <br /> a <br /> Debris transfertruck and collection truck drivers will be regulars who are trained <br /> and familiar with the site. A 6-foot high, slatted chain link fence with two gates <br /> i that is locked, when it is not in use, surrounds the facility. The general public will <br /> have limited access to the facility's Inert Operations Area and C&D Operations <br /> Area for delivery of self-haul loads. Appropriate, visible signage, traffic cones, <br /> and instruction by the site attendant will direct vehicles to the Inert Operations <br /> Area or C&D Operations Area tipping pads, as appropriate. <br /> Pile heights have been limited to 25 feet for inerts and 20 feet for C&D debris to <br /> more readily manage materials, and facilitate safe handling of materials with <br /> onsite equipment and minimize risk to public, drivers and onsite personnel. Site <br /> personnel will monitor and maintain pile construct' ' <br /> rt p ion to prevent potential hazards <br /> due to unstable or poorly configured piles. <br /> Roads [14 CCR 17409.1] <br /> The roads are local ted onaved asphalt phal# concrete or concrete pad and are <br /> accessible year round and for all l <br /> x types of weather. A daily site walk by facility <br /> Y <br /> personnel focuses on ensuring that the entry and driveway are free of debris and <br /> a clean appearance maintained. <br /> Sanitary Facilities [14 CCR 17409,2] <br /> Employee restroom facilities are available in the MRF/TS building and the <br /> ii <br /> The operator will maintain all sanitary and hand- <br /> washing facilities, 'I which may be required by applicable state or local <br /> requirements, in a reasonably clean and adequately supplied condition. <br /> I <br /> Scavenging and Salvaging [14 CCR 17409.3] <br /> i <br /> 3 No scavenging will occur at the facility since the general public will not be <br /> allowed on site. Salvaging of metals, wood, and inerts are be part of operations <br />' and be limited to the processing areas shown on site plans in Appendix A. <br /> Storage of salvagedmetals will be located on perimeter of the C&D Operations <br /> Area and the Inert Processing Area, will be consolidated with like materials at the <br /> MRF building, and removed from site regularly for delivery to recycling facilities. <br /> Salvaging activities will be controlled by site employees so as to not interfere with <br /> other site operations', including entry and exit of vehicles delivering waste to the <br /> facility, and to prevent health, safety or nuisance problems.
