Subpart JJJJ applies to stationary <br /> spark-ignition internal combustion engines. However, the requirements of this subpart are less <br /> stringent than the requirements of District Rule 4702 and the BACT requirements of District <br /> Rule 2201. Compliance with SACT and Rule 4702 writ ensure compliance with Rule 4001. No <br /> further discussion is required. <br /> Rule 4002 National Emissions Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants <br /> This rule incorporates by reference the national emissions standards for hazardous air r <br /> Pollutants (NESHAP)from Part 61, Chapter 1, Subchapter C, Title 40 CFR, and from Part 63, <br /> Chapter 1, Subchapter C, Title 40 CFR. However, no NESHAP applies to the proposed <br /> processes. No further discussion is required. <br /> Rule 4101 Visible Emissions <br /> This rule defines and prohibits visible emissions from any source operation. However, pursuant <br /> to District Policy SSP-1005, Visible Emissions from Operations Served by Baghousesthe <br /> standard visible emissions limitation of 20%opacity is insufficient to ensure proper ,operation of <br /> a baghouse. For baghouses, visible emissions are defined as being in excess of 5%. The <br /> following conditions will be included on the ATCs to ensure compliance: <br /> N-1337-14, 247. 6-1:: <br /> • Visible emissions from the baghouse(s) serving this operation shall not equal or exceed <br /> 5%opacity for a period or periods aggregating more than thrice minutes in anyone hour. <br /> jDistdct Rule 22011 <br /> N-1337-7-0. 6-0. 9-0: <br /> • No air contaminant shall be discharged into the atmosphere fnr a period or periods <br /> aggregating more than throe minutes in any one hour which is as dank as, or darker <br /> than, Ringelmann 1 or 20% opacity.
