fapplied he surface and subsurface soil types are a silty clay soil with a higher biological activity than in andy soil, and therefore higher decomposition capacity of any agrichemicals that may have been in the past. valuation of each point source potential contamination described(i.e., the existing septic system, the nearest underground storage tank, on-site electrical power lines and the on-site above ground diesel storage tank) and non-point sources (i.e., on-site and surrounding agrichemical applications and non-target drift,nitrate from on-site fertilizer applications, and the extremely slight possibility of DDT soil concentrations)pose a low-to-insignificant risk to the environment and to human health, in my professional opinion. /The ASTM E-1527-00 Document referenced on Page 2 refers to de minimus environmental conditions. De minimus conditions generally do not present a material risk to public health or to the environment and generally would not include an enforcement action if observed by the appropriate governmental agencies. Household hazardous materials may be considered de minimus concerns if there has been no spillage or dumping. Spillage and dumping of a hazardous substance was not observed. As noted in Photographic Plate D, used oil is stored in a dual container to prevent soil contamination. ✓The septic system density is extremely low in the surrounding areas. Consequently,the degree of nitrate-nitrogen impact from this source can be considered inconsequential. Nitrate impact would be considerably greater from agricultural production land. ✓The subject site will continue to be productive farmland, and is surrounded by properties that engage in production agriculture. Consequences of this surrounding land use include: noise, dust, odors, insects,machinery, crop dusting aircraft, trucks, exhaust and other environmental effects that may be offensive to some people. § 5.2 The Appendices, found in Section 7 incorporate all of the applicable information referenced in this Report. §5.3 See Page 8 for signature and stamp. §5.4 Mr. Valdemar Olson(the Applicant)is currently in the process of submitting the land use application. He was directed by Shoup Land Surveying to proceed with this Surface and Subsurface Contamination Report. §5.5 As referenced above,the Appendices contain the documentation to support the applicable data and information found in this Report.
