Surface and Subsurface Contamination Report—APN: 009-110-04--To create a homesite parcel contain-
ing five(5)acres within an eadsting forty(40)acres parcel leaving a thirty-five acres parcel,Parcel 2.
An insignificant amount of recorded septic system failures were found in the
septic system research contained in this report so there is no anticipation of septic system
type contamination problems developing if the type of systems installed in the past are
maintained.
There does not appear to have been any subsurface construction present or past
that would contribute to below ground contamination.
For the past many years the subject property has been subjected only to
agricultural use or left to its irrigated natural state. Since the San Joaquin County
Agricultural Commissioner's report showed no use of adverse chemicals, there does not
appear to be any undue concern from chemical use in any agricultural endeavors.
Also the DBCP and Nitrate (NO3)—Land Use Maps available in the San Joaquin
Environmental Health Department's Office showed no real detrimental concerns for these
two chemical concentrations. The Far West Laboratories well water test results also did
not reveal any detrimental chemical product contamination. The well water sampling and
testing results meet current California primary drinking water standards, for
Dibromochloropropane(DBCP) and Nitrate (NO3).
Also there is no indication that contamination problems are present from
heroical contamination due to agricultural crop production.
(6.2) Mitieation Measures: No chemical residues or spillage of hazardous materials
were noted on the subject property. However, some abandoned batteries were noted
stored on the subject property which need to be removed and disposed of at an approved
hazardous waste disposal site or sold to a battery supply business such as Lodi Battery
Company at 1730 Ackerman,Lodi California.
(6.3)Recommendations: Continuing the present conditions and use on the subject
property and developing the subject property a is n 7cted to impact ground
water nor cause other health hazards.
Walter E.
