I
I
f
I
k
4.0 INITIAL WATER QUALITY ANALYSES
i
General mineral, physical, inorganic chemical, organic chemical, bacteriological, and
radionuclide analyses will be performed initially on untreated samples of water from the new
wells. The analyses will be performed by certified water quality laboratories, and will include
tests for constituents of local concern, including: nitrate, arsenic, TDS, and manganese. Water
I treatment needs will be confirmed using the results of the analyses. Data for arsenic and
parameters that could affect performance of arsenic treatment processes will be reviewed in
detail.
5.0 REFERENCES
[1] Personal communication with Fred Manding, Division Chief, Prevention, Lathrop-
Manteca Fire Protection District, July 24, 2007.
[2] Nitrate Loading Study, Soil Suitability StudY and Domestic Wastewater Disposal Study,
Chesney Consulting, August 25, 2006.
i
[3] City of Lathrop 14rsenic Compliance and Capital Improvement Planning Study, Draft,
Kennedy/Jenks Consultants, March 28, 2006.
` [4] U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, FEMWATER: A Three-Dimensional Finite Element
Computer Model for Simulating Density-Dependent Flow and Transport in Variable
G Saturated Media,July 1997.
f
f
F
i
i
KMC—Water Pre-Application Information 4 MTBO15600
September 2007 n:dntb0156001reportslwater pre-applfina[091907.doc
