L in KLEINFELDER
An emporee owned comPanv
L File No. 20670.G01
October 25, 2002
a.
Mr. Dave Lagorio
I Diede Construction
1' P.O. Box 1007
Woodbridge, CA 95258
i,
L Subject: SOILS SUITABILITY AND NITRATE LOADING STUDY
SILVER CHASE SELF STORAGE
SW CORNER OF MANTHEY AND KLO ROADS
LATHROP, CALIFORNIA
Dear Mr. Lagorio:
Kleinfelder is pleased to present the results of our soil suitability and nitrate loading study for the
Lproposed Silver Chase Self Storage facility to be located at the southwest corner of Manthey and
Klo Roads in Lathrop, California. The purpose of our study was to determine the suitability of
the property for septic tank usage. The study was performed in general accordance to the
requirements of Section 9-101000 of San Joaquin County Ordinance. The following includes
background information regarding the proposed development, present use of the site, and the
groundwater depth in the project area. In addition, discussions regarding our investigative
procedures and the site conditions encountered during our field exploration and the results of
percolation tests are presented. Finally, the results of our nitrate loading calculations and project
limitations are provided.
PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT
ir. On a preliminary basis, we understand the subject 5.4-acre project site will contain several
storage buildings and one residential/office building. The residence will contain two bedrnoins
and two bathrooms, one for visitors. The site currently is vacant. We have assumed that the
L business will have a total of about two employees. The building will not have cafeteria facilities
inside.
. We anticipate that waste disposal for the buildings will be provided by an individual on-site
sewage disposal system consisting of a septic tank/leach trench sewage disposal system.
r
20670.G01/ST02R679 October 25,2002
©2002 Kleinfelder,Inc.
