GP-01-13 AND ZONE RECLASSIFICATION NO. ZR-01-9
OF CENTRAL VALLEY CONSTRUCTION
(THIRD SUPERVISORIAL DISTRICT)
IT IS RECOMMENDED:
That the Board of Supervisors:
1. Approve the Negative Declaration;
2. Adopt a Motion of Intent to approve General Plan Map Amendment No.
GP-01-13 based on the ability to make the required "Basis for General Plan Map
Amendment' (Attachment"A"); and
3. Adopt a Motion of Intent to approve Zone Reclassification Application No.
ZR-01-4 based on the ability to make the required Bases for Zone
Reclassification (Attachment"A").
BACKGROUND:
On June 5, 1997, the Planning Commission heard GP-01-1 and ZR-01-3 that proposed to change
the General Plan and Zoning designations of 46 acres from General Agriculture (A/G) and AG-40 to
Limited Industrial (I/L) and Industrial-Warehousing (I-W) respectively. After hearing the matter the
Planning Commission voted to recommend that the Board of Supervisors only approve the General
Plan Amendment and rezone for 9.76 acres at the northeast corner of the site instead of 46 acres
as requested. The Board considered the matter on August 12, 1997, and approved a Motion of
Intent to approve the General Plan Map Amendment and Zone Reclassification for the 9.76 acres at
the southwest corner of Manthey and Klo Roads.
At the Community Development Department an error was made and the entire 46 acres was
imputed into the Sierra system as I/L and I-W. Based on the information in the Sierra system the
34.74-acre property was bought as industrial property and was later discovered to be agricultural.
In Board Order B-01-1050, the Board of Supervisors directed the Community Development
Department to process a General Plan Map Amendment and Rezoning for the property owned by
Central Valley Construction.
