L
L March 31,2005
NOA Project Number: E05029A
L The subject property was observed to be a flat, roughly rectangular ten-acre parcel. A single-family
residence,a shop, and two stables were located at the northern end of the property. A water well was
observed to the southwest of the shop. The remainder of the property was observed to be pasture land
Lfenced into horse runs.
Two black, pole-mounted transformers were observed on the western property boundary near the
northern end of the property. Two pole-mounted transformers with blue PCB-free stickers were
Lobserved along the northern property line.
A pile of metal debris was observed near the well to the southwest of the shop. Seven drums were
v observed to the west of the residence. Several five-gallon chemical buckets, some partially full of an oily
lisuid, were observed to the west of the shop. The interiors of the stables were not observed. The
j ground surface was we om recent rams at the time of the site visit and the southern portion of the
L property was covered in seasonal vegetation. As a result, any oil staining present on the property may
not have been detectable.
`. Surrounding properties were surveyed at the time of the site reconnaissance. To the north of the subject
property was open land and a dairy. To the west of the property were residences, sheep pasture, and
L open land. To the south was open crop land. To the east were a few residences, open land, and some \
chicken coops.
I L8 Pacific Gas&Electric
L.
Mr.Eric Nolan of PG&E indicated that he cannot determine the PCB content of transformers without
Lthe serial number of the teansformer'2.
Ms.Linda Harkins of Stockton PG&E has stated that the only way to determine the PCB content of
transformers without blue PCB-free or silver retrofit stickers is to have them tested, a service which
L PG&E will provide for a charge13.
F 3.2 Past On-Site Sources of Contamination
L
No potential above- or below-ground on-site potential or known sources of contamination were y)
identified from past uses of the site.
L
3.3 Current On-Site Sources of Contamination
LNo above-or below-ground on-site potential or known sources of contamination were identified from
current uses of the site, except for the following:
'ZPerwnal Communication,March 30,2005.
L13Personal Communication,March 5,2004.
7
L
