L �..� <br /> L March 31,2005 <br /> NOA Project Number: E05029A <br /> L2.3 USGS Topographic Maps <br /> The topographic quadrangle depicting the subject property is the U.S.Geological Survey,Stockton East, <br /> California,quadrangle map. One 7.5-minute map dated 1968 photorevised 1987 was available at NOA, <br /> and through Microsoft Terraserver. <br /> LIn the 1987 map, the subject property is depicted as vacant land. A single structure is depicted at its <br /> L� northern end. An irrigation canal defines its southern boundary. The property is depicted as between <br /> 50 and 55 feet above mean sea level in a region which slopes down to the west at a rate of <br /> Lapproximately seven feet per mile. Surrounding land is vacant with scattered residences. <br /> These maps are included in Appendix C of this report. <br /> 1 <br /> Ir 2.4 Interviews <br /> An attempt was made to obtain historical as well as current information relative to the subject property <br /> Lfrom the property owner or key site manager of the property. An Environmental Questionnaire and <br /> Disclosure Statement was completed by Ms.Jo Moore, owner of the subject property,on February 8, <br /> L2005. A copy of his responses has been included in this report as Appendix E. <br /> In her responses to the questionnaire, Ms. Moore indicated that she purchased the property in 1960 <br /> from Howard and Nevella Michels. She stated that,since then,the property has been used as a pasture (2. 1 <br /> and a home,and that it was used for chickens in the past. Ms. Moore stated that Roundup is applied <br /> around the driveway to control weeds, and Dormat spray is applied to four trees. <br /> L 3.0 PAST AND CURRENT SOURCES OF CONTAMINATION <br /> 3.1 Research Methods <br /> NOA employs a standard practice for review of database information. On a street map showing the <br /> location of the subject property,a circle is drawn one-quarter mile out from the property boundaries, <br /> L and street maps or web-based mapping services are then used to determine address ranges for all streets <br /> within the quarter mile.
