L ..
L March 31,2005
NOA Project Number: E05029A
L2.3 USGS Topographic Maps
The topographic quadrangle depicting the subject property is the U.S.Geological Survey,Stockton East,
California, quadrangle map. One 7.5-minute map dated 1968 photorevised 1987 was available at NOA,
and through Microsoft Terraserver.
LIn the 1987 map, the subject property is depicted as vacant land. A single structure is depicted at its
L northern end. An irrigation canal defines its southern boundary. The property is depicted as between
50 and 55 feet above mean sea level in a region which slopes down to the west at a rate of
Lapproximately seven feet per mile. Surrounding land is vacant with scattered residences.
These maps are included in Appendix C of this report.
1
Ir 2.4 Interviews
An attempt was made to obtain historical as well as current information relative to the subject property
Lfrom the property owner or key site manager of the property. An Environmental Questionnaire and
Disclosure Statement was completed by Ms.Jo Moore, owner of the subject property,on February 8,
L2005. A copy of his responses has been included in this report as Appendix E.
In her responses to the questionnaire, Ms. Moore indicated that she purchased the property in 1960
from Howard and Nevella Michels. She stated that, since then, the property has been used as a pasture (2. 1
and a home, and that it was used for chickens in the past. Ms. Moore stated that Roundup is applied
around the driveway to control weeds, and Dormat spray is applied to four trees.
L 3.0 PAST AND CURRENT SOURCES OF CONTAMINATION
3.1 Research Methods
NOA employs a standard practice for review of database information. On a street map showing the
location of the subject property,a circle is drawn one-quarter mile out from the property boundaries,
L and street maps or web-based mapping services are then used to determine address ranges for all streets
within the quarter mile. All agency databases searchable by address are then searched for these address
ranges.
V
L
L
L
4
6-
