PUBLA]"' HEAffH SERVICES
SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY r.
JOGI KIIANNA M.D.,M.P.H.
Hea€th Officer
4 tlFOR `P
P(). Box 2009 (1601 Fast Hazelton Avenue) . Stockton,California 9501
(209) 469-3400
April 1 , 1991
TO: San Joaquin County Community Development Department
Planning Division
FROM: Public Health Services
Environmental Health Division
Re: SA-91-24
1444 E Mariposa Rd
The Environmental Health Division recommends continuance of this
application.
a . Existing septic tank & leachfield have been paved over. Beed
traffic slab over septic tank.
b. Site plan does not show 100% replacement area for sewage
disposal system, that is barricaded so it cannot be driven
over, parked on or used as a storage area.
C. Installed a oil/sand separator without permits . This system
must be designed by a registered engineer and discharged to an
above ground system approved by the Environmental Health
Division. Applicant must file an application for facility
permit/waste discharge with the Central Valley Regional Water
Quality Control Board . The application forms can be obtained
from the Environmental Health Division. If the above ground
holding facility had to be emptied you first would have to
analyze the contents for any hazardous material . You can
obtain specific test requirements from the Environmental
Health Division .
d . The liquid waste from the oil/sand separator was discharged
into the ground . The lead agency for evaluation of possible
ground water contamination will be the CVRWQCB.
Recomendations:
1 . Connect to City of Stockton public sewers .
2 . Destroy under permit the existing septic tank.
3 . Connect the existing oil/sand separator to the public
sewer line.
4 . Contact CVRWQCB regarding possible ground water
contamination and requirements for site evaluation.
A Division of San Joaquin County Health Care Services 40
_ L
