PRESENT AND PAST USE OF THE SITE <br /> An interview was conducted with Ms. Jane Van Hook of PMZ Rhode Real Estate,to <br /> determine the history of the site. Ms. Van Hook represents the property seller and is familiar <br /> with the site history to the early 1960's. Presently, Terry Scarbrough of Fineline Gunite is in the <br /> process of purchasing the property from Lloyd Haworth, the current owner of the property. <br /> Lloyd Haworth and his sister inherited the property from their family. The property has <br /> been used as a family residence since at least the 1950's and possibly earlier. During the period <br /> in the 1960's, the property was also used to store construction equipment. The property was sold <br /> _ by Mr. Haworth to another party but was later repossessed by him due to tax problems. Details <br /> regarding the period and duration of Mr. Haworth's non-ownership is unclear to Ms. Van Hook. <br /> We understand from Ms. Van Hook that Mr. Haworth is presently ill and is unabl&provide <br /> additional details regarding the site history. <br /> We understand that San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health <br /> Division(SJC PHS-EHD)indicated a septic system permit was issued for a third septic system <br /> for a pre-existing mobile home on the property. This permit, indicating a third system for use <br /> with a mobile home,was located in the files of SJC PHS-EHD office. The permit is attached in <br /> the appendix. We understand that the SIC PHS-EHD also wanted this septic system abandonedy — <br /> along with the other two (known) septic systems. The period of existence of the mobile home is,.,, ✓ „_ <br /> unknown and the septic system exact whereabouts is unknown. The permit is dated 12/1/71. <br /> The sketch on the back of the permit shows the location of the mobile home trailer southeast of 7� <br /> the residence and shop about 25 away from the"drainage ditch"(See permit in appendix for <br /> sketch). No physical evidence of the system was visible during three on-site visits. <br /> IV. SURROUNDING USAGE <br /> The site is bounded to the north by Mariposa Road,bounded to the east and south by <br /> Branch Creek, and bounded to the west by neighboring parcel. The area is zoned as Limited <br /> _ Industrial (I-L)Zone, intended to provide for light impact manufacturing, warehousing, <br /> wholesaling, construction contracting, and distribution uses. Activities within the Limited <br /> Industrial (I-L) Zone have external physical effects that are generally restricted to the immediate <br /> area, are compatible with surrounding uses, are conducted entirely within enclosed buildings, and <br /> have outdoor storage areas that are screened. Business and professional offices may be found <br /> within this zone. <br /> .. �, <br />
