The Environmental Health Department has reviewed the study and found
several areas of concern that have been brought to the attention of the engineering firm who
prepared the report. At this time, the Environmental Health Department cannot support the
General Plan Amendment and Zone Reclassification. It appears groundwater may be impacted
with elevated nitrates and AL-5 zoning would potential add up to 18 new homes. Further study
is needed to determine mitigation measures for the planned uses for sewage disposal and well
construction issues.
