MARIPOSA ROAD <br /> I <br /> STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA <br /> 1.0 INTRODUCTION AND PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT <br /> Our office was contracted by Mr.James Pilkington of Stockton to conduct a soil suitability study for <br /> the proposed general plan amendment at 8868 and 8998 E. Mariposa Road, Stockton, California. <br /> LThe soil suitability study (SSS) was conducted to determine whether the soils are suitable for use <br /> with a septic system. The study was performed according to the requirements of Section <br /> 9-1105.2(d) of the San Joaquin County Development. A major element of the field work included <br /> ` conducting percolation tests that meet the required absorption rates as required by San Joaquin <br /> County,Public Health Services, Environmental Health Department (EHD). <br /> ` In addition to conducting the percolation tests, a review of published soil information,geologic <br /> maps,and ground water information was performed to evaluate the suitability of soils for use with a <br /> septic system. <br /> The formatting of this report has been designed to follow, to the greatest degree possible, <br /> the EHD's Soil SuitabiW Study Requirements Check6sy dated July 14,2003. <br /> 1.1 Site Description <br /> LThe Site consists of two parcels,Assessor Parcel Numbers 181-090-11, 20.89 acres in size and 181- <br /> 090-02, 27.42 acres in size. The county application number is PA-04-347. <br /> LThe elevation of the Site, according to a United States Geological Survey topographic map,is <br /> approximately 45-50 feet above mean sea level. <br /> LAccording to San Joaquin Community Development Department, the Site is zoned AG-40,limited <br /> agriculture with a minimum parcel size of 40 acres.
