Department,the project consists of designating two parcels totaling 48.63 acres from AG-40 <br /> (general agriculture) to AL-5 (limited agriculture,with a 5 acre minimum). One of the proposed <br /> project parcels has an existing residence and is planted with alfalfa crops. The second parcel is also <br /> ` planted in alfalfa crops,but has no structures on it. After the zone change the owner would like to <br /> subdivide the property into approximately nine parcels (San Joaqum L-ounty Community <br /> Development epartment . <br /> I <br /> 1.3 Site Vicinity <br /> ` A site vicinity map is included in the appendix of this report as Plate 2. <br /> 1.4 Site Map <br /> LA site map is included in the appendix of this report as Plate 1. <br /> i <br /> L 2.0 PRESENT AND PAST USES OF THE SITE <br /> 2.1 Past and Present Site Use <br /> r. <br /> Both parcels area currently planted with alfalfa,these crops are actively maintained though during a <br /> conversation with Mr. Pilkington (personal communication December 9,2004), he said that there <br /> have been no chemicals used on the property in the last two years. A residence and other <br /> agricultural buildings area located on the northwestern parcel. Before the crops were alfalfa, the <br /> fields were used to grow tomatoes, and prior to the tomatoes the land was used for grazing. <br /> 3.0 EXISTING AND PROPOSED SEPTIC TANK USAGE <br /> 3.1 Existing On-Site Septic Tank Usage <br /> LAccording to Mr. Pilkington (personal communication December 9,2004), the house on 181-090-11 <br /> currently has a septic system.
