The cancellation is necessary to <br /> facilitate a lot line adjustment between the adjacent noncontracted Stockton <br /> Sportsmen's Club parcel and the.landowner's contracted parcel. The lot line adjustment <br /> will move the property fine to the west of the Sportsman's Clubs buildings and maintain <br /> the proper setbacks. The site is 120 feet wide and 1,510.64 feet long is located north <br /> and adjacent to McMullin Road, east of Hayes Road in Manteca. <br /> Cancellation Findings <br /> Government Code Section 51282 states that tentative approval for cancellation may be <br /> granted only if the local government makes one of the following findings- 1) cancellation <br /> is consistent with purposes of the Williamson Act or 2) cancellation is in the public 1 <br /> interest. The Department has reviewed the petition and information provided and ' <br /> offers the following comments. <br /> Cancellation is Consistent with the Purposes of the Williamson Act <br /> For the cancellation to be consistent with purposes of. the Williamson Act, the San <br /> Joaquin County Board of Supervisors (Board) must make all of the following five <br /> findings: 1) a notice of nonrenewal has been served, 2) removal of adjacent land from <br /> agricultural use is unlikely, 3) the alternative use is consistent with the City's General <br /> Plan, 4) discontiguous patterns of urban development will not result, and 5) that there <br /> The Department of Conservation's mission is to protect Californians and their environment by: <br /> Protecting lives and property from earthquakes and landslides;Ensuring safe mining and oil and gas drilling,- <br /> Conserving California's farmland;and Saving energy and resources through recycling. <br />
