I. INTRODUCTION
Dillon & Murphy was retained by Stacy Kendrick to perform a soil suitability study for
the Kendrick property located at 22498 East Milton Road, Linden, CA. The subject parcel
number is APN 039-040-23. The purpose of the study is to determine the suitability of the
property for septic tank usage as required by the County. The study was performed according
to the requirements of Section 10100 of San Joaquin County Development Code.
II. PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT
The property is currently zoned RR. The Kendrick property consists of 22.15 acre
parcel (see appendix for map). It is proposed to divide one 2.97 acre parcel from the existing
22.15 acre property. There is an existing home on Parcel 1 and Parcel 2. The proposed split
is being done as a Minor Subdivision to create one 19.18 acre homesite parcel and one 2.97
acre homesite parcel.
III. PRESENT AND PAST USE OF THE SITE
Presently, Parcel 1 and Parcel 2 are homesites. The surrounding property is pasture.
IV. EXISTING AND PROPOSED SEPTIC TANK USAGE
There is an existing septic system located on homesite Parcel 1 and homesite Parcel 2.
There is no record of septic system failure.
V. GROUND WATER AND DEPTH TESTING
According to the map of "Lines of Equal Depth to Water in Wells" published fall,
1990, by the San Joaquin County Flood Control and Water Conversation District, the depth to
groundwater at this location is approximately 140 feet.
(See the appendix for the ground water gradient).
There is an existing well on Parcel 1 and Parcel 2 as shown in the appendix.
VI. SOIL PROFILE AND PERCOLATION TESTS
Two test holes were excavated to depths of 3.0 feet in the areas of the homesites. The
purpose of the test holes was to determine percolation rates in these areas. For approximate
locations of the test holes, see the Tentative Parcel Map in the Appendix. Holes were
prepared in accordance with County Standards.
-1-
