The property is approximately 273.35 acres in size and is presently used for
orchard and pasture. Mr. Joe Murphy of Dillon and Murphy Engineering in Lodi, requested that
our office conduct a percolation test on each parcel to satisfy a requirement of the
Environmental Health Department for siting new residential septic systems. The percolation
test hole locations are shown on the attached parcel map. This location was determined by you
to be near the site of the proposed septic system leach field.
—
Twenty-five-foot soil borings were drilled on Parcels 6, 7, 8 and the designated remainder using
a truck-mounted deep rock drilling rig with a 4-inch diameter auger on June 2, 2008. Two
shallow holes to a depth of approximately three and a half (3.5) feet were re-drilled on Parcel 5
and the designated remainder on June 5, 2008 using a 4-inch diameter hand auger. Please see
Table 5 for more details regarding the percolation test holes. No groundwater was encountered
in any of the test borings. Please see the following tables for information regarding the soils
encountered in each boring.
Table i
Soil Boring Log, Parcel 5
Depth Interval (ft) Soil Type Unified Soil Classification
1-3 Light brown silty sand with SM
some gravel
3-7 Light brown sandy clay SC
7-13 Reddish brown clayey sand SC
with some gravel
13-25 Dark brown clayey sand SC
ANGELS CAMP • LODI MODESTO • RENO • SACRAMENTO • WALNUT CREEK
L O D I 902 Industrial Way Lodi,CA 95240 • 209.367.3701 • FAX 209-3694228 • www.noanderson.com
